Disturbing News

I got back to Montreal tonight and flipped on the TV. The local CTV news was just starting. One of their only two headline stories:

"Parents are demanding that the city place a crossing guard outside an elementary school... (dramatic pause) and it seems the government is listening."

Yikes! We need crossing guards now? Outside of our elementary schools? And the government is listening? What is this country coming to?
