The same patch, but ported to 2.2.10, is on my web page. I have a Compaq Presario 1610. Apm -v says that the BIOS is Ver 1.2. The problem that I've been having is that after hybernating (by pressing Fn-F4) and then turning the laptop back on, each second for the system clock lasts 6 seconds for the hardware clock. (ie the system clock is running at about 1/6th the speed it should) I also have to make sure that I have the laptop go to sleep at least one time after I boot before I make it hybernate. Otherwise when I press (Fn-F4) for hybernation the screen just blanks and the laptop is completely unresponsive. I tried your patch on kernel 2.2.10. (apm -v now says kernel driver 1.10) I'm not sure what problems your patch fixed, but the above problems continued with both apmd-3.0beta4 and apmd-3.0beta8. Was your patch supposed to fix these problems? Does anyone have any idea how to fix the above problems? Jeff Edlund Index: [thread] [date] [subject] [author] |
