Yes, I think a test suite would be a nice thing to have too, but I guess it needn't be a high priority thing. Personally, I would, like you, love to find out what specifically is "not fully compliant" or "broken" about my APM BIOS. My Omnibook 3000, when given some tasks to do in the pre-suspend command, _sometimes_ (randomly) goes into hibernate instead of suspending when it is supposed to suspend.
