Peter, and the LinuxLaptop/Apmd lists:

I have to be a little embarrased because I made the new kernel, with
all the settings correct, but the report below was based the old
RH6.0 "out of the box" kernel. My wife's machine is fine, IF the correct
kernel I made is booted.
