apm and RH 6.0 on an IBM 560z

Dear List,

I have recently installed RH6.0 on my wife's very new IBM560z. I compiled a kernel
with apm options set, and with the floppy as a module. Suspend is
not working, it seems. The first time I try a suspend, I get a message:
"event queue overflowed"

The kernel gives an error message to the /var/log/messages file "ent"
I have no idea what that means.

Once the suspend has been given, I cannot even reboot. When it gets to
the point of shutting down apm, it then suspends the machine. The shutdown
does not continue. If I then wake up the machine, it hangs.
Any clues would be appreciated.

Jont

Please respond directly to me, as I am only listening to apmd-list at the present
time.

Thanks
