You have two possibilities. Either you have notebook which supports it (in that situation turn on CONFIG_APM in kernel and you are done), or you don't. In such case, talk to Gabor Kuti <seasons@falcon.sch.bme.hu>, who has patches to make linux suspend-to-swappartition on _any_ hardware. (And yes, I played with that one, and my old 386 suspends just well). (Just notice that this is EXPERIMENTAL.) Pavel PS: Yes, I can suspend to disk on any intel computer.
