From: Adam Di Carlo <adam@onshore.com> To : <apmd-list@worldvisions.ca> Date: Sat, 14 Nov 1998 01:53:06 -0500 unknown error code 0x53I've looked in <linux/apm_bios.h> for both kernels 2.0.35 and 2.1.127, but there's no mention of this error code: apm_bios: suspend: unknown error code 0x53 I get this code whenever coming out of sleep or suspend. In fact, it seems to happen whenever the display is blanked, even though the error only shows up on the console (haven't checked the logs) when coming back. I used to enable the kernel option CONFIG_APM_DISPLAY_BLANK, but the recurrence of this error message on console basically rendered blanking useless (or worse), since whenever the console goes blank, it instantly came back to display that error message. I know I can compile without that option, or reconfigure syslog to not emit the message to console. But I'd like, instead, to fix the problem if possible. Any clues? .....Adam Di Carlo....adam@onShore.com.....<URL:http://www.onShore.com/> Index: [thread] [date] [subject] [author] |
