The errors I was getting were something like Resource not available - Busy (about a DMA channel) or something.I tried selecting the various options available in sequence until one worked, but when I executed 'shutdown -h now', restarted into the BIOS to reinitialize the sound card, and rebooted, the errors occurred on startup as well. Using 'ps2' I am able to change the I/O, DMA, and IRQ of the sound card; also all the ports and disk drive/suspend timeouts. IBM's Website is a difficult maze to navigate, but... You would want to go to 'www.ibm.com/support' and then probably select 'Profile my PC' - otherwise, select 'Thinkpad' under 'Personal Computers' and look for a link on the left that says 'Downloadable Files'. You can then select by type of file or machine model. ps2 comes in the disk packages labelled something like 'Utility Features for DOS'. Josh > Possibly. I have it the other way round.
