Hmm, it sounds like the kernel is crashing while trying to call into the APM BIOS -- there may be a bug in your system BIOS. Is it flash-upgradable? Do you have the latest version? You're a bit vague in your message though. Are you sure this relates to APM? Does your kernel have APM support installed? Exactly which APM options are enabled in your kernel configuration?
