Hmm, it sounds like the kernel is crashing while trying to call into the APM
BIOS -- there may be a bug in your system BIOS.  Is it flash-upgradable?  Do
you have the latest version?

You're a bit vague in your message though.  Are you sure this relates to
APM?  Does your kernel have APM support installed?  Exactly which APM
options are enabled in your kernel configuration?  Does it still crash if
APM is disabled?
