Does your desktop PC shuts down the fan (cpu and power supply) in suspend mode? > Basically the BIOS gets to decide what features are implemented (and > of course this feature set may change when you dock your laptop). I didn't know APM can support a real suspend mode (like S3 in ACPI). I thought laptops use some proprietary standards. > By the way, I am the kernel APM maintiner (see the MAINTAINERS file > in the kernel source). Is this the right place to ask APM specific questions? I've tried apm -s and apm -S on my Asus P3B-F (Suspend to RAM activated in BIOS) and my Asus TX97-XE. I could return by pressing a key (IMHO real suspend should not power the keyboard), open the CD and the fans continued... One of these modes (-s or -S, I'm not sure) beeped 3 times and after that the power-led flashed... Can you please describe you APM-suspend-mode? Does your fan, keyboard and CD stop?
