On my desktop system (Asus P5A, ATX power supply), I can still play audio
CD's in my CD-ROM drive when suspended - this implies that the power to all
drives is on (although hard disk spindown works, of course).  Also the CPU
fan continues to spin for a while until the CPU cools off, or something.

I haven't checked the power usage on my system under these conditions, but
it's probably more than 5W.
