I'm not a real expert on the APM spec, but I do know that whatever apmsleep is going with the RTC definitely works on my laptop and my ATX desktop, so the extra APM features may not be necessary. But hey, try it if you like. > I had also thought that it would be useful to implement more options: > i.e., allow setting or unsetting the timer, independent of whether the > system was to be suspended or not. I've been hoping for such a thing to come and hit me in the head, but I don't have time to write it. And Peter the apmsleep guy says there may already be "laptop cron" programs around that do what I want -- though I haven't personally seen any (anacron, aka running my nightly events at the least convenient time possible, is not the answer I want). If you write it well and it looks like it belongs, I'll be happy to merge changes into the apmd package. Have fun, Avery Index: [thread] [date] [subject] [author] |
