apmd 3.0beta9 is released

Hi all,

I'm desperately trying to catch up with all the many projects I'm working
on.  This is apmd 3.0beta9, which integrates fixes from several other
people.  I don't remember which ones anymore, mainly because I'm
scatterbrained.

Anyway, if you don't see your favourite patch integrated in this version,
that's probably also because I'm scatterbrained.  Please send it again and
I'll try to make a beta10.

If by some wacky coincidence I didn't forget anyone and there's nothing
wrong with this version, let's call it 3.0final and I'll go take a vacation
or something.  Okay, wishful thinking, but it's worth a try.
