From: Peter Saturley <psaturley@thezone.net> To : <apmd-list@worldvisions.ca> Date: Thu, 24 Jun 1999 22:36:56 -0230 (NDT) APM Rejected by KernelHi, I'm running 2.2.9 on an award bios (AMD-K6 Desktop) with Redhat 6.0, apm support compiled into kernel. Small problem- every time I try to enter apm, whether through the bios timeouts, the soft power switch, or apm -s, I get the same error message in /var/log/messages: kernel: busy: Unable to enter requested state. I assumed that this meant some process was running that prevented the machine from going into suspend or standby, but I killed darn near everything and it still won't work. I know it's a desktop, but I'd really like to have this working. Furthermore, it worked under Redhat 5.2/2.0.36. Any Suggestions? Index: [thread] [date] [subject] [author] |
