It's never crashed for me.  (Let's watch it start.)

I'm currently at 2.2.9 on my main system, but 2.2.10 seems to work on my
experimental box.

It's just a pain in the neck to get all the _other_ stuff upgraded that
2.2.x requires.  Luckily, Debian did almost all of that for me :)

If you have an ipfwadm firewall, prepare to suffer.  ipchains is arbitrarily
different.  Also, sound and parallel port support are kind of weird (much
better, but weird).
